Insulation Technician

Reports to: Director of Operations

Hours: Monday-Friday,  40+ Hours Per Week including occasional Weekend Work

Job Requirements: 

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements:

  • Full Face Respirator for organic vapor mitigation (supplied and maintained by VFI)
  • Full Faced Mask & Supplied Air whenever working in confined spaces (supplied & maintained by VFI)
  • Half Face Respirator for dust mitigation,  (supplied & maintained by VFI)
  • Tyvek Suits & Headsocks (supplied by VFI)
  • Gloves (supplied by VFI)
  • Safety Glasses (supplied by VFI)
  • Steel toe boots or sneakers

General Responsibilities: 

The Spray Foam Technician helps to install insulation in new construction projects, as well as to remove old and install new insulation in existing homes and commercial buildings.  

Specific Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Punch in at time of departure to job site
  2. Follow specific instructions for each job as outlined in the daily work order and as instructed by Job Foreman
  3. Assist the Job Foreman in all aspects of the job
  4. Upon conclusion of any job, complete daily job log and submit to Job Foreman
  5. Report any accidents, injuries, and/or damage to truck, equipment, or job site property to the Job Foreman, Director of Operations, and Operations Office Manager 
  6. Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles at all times
  7. Maintain cleanliness of jobsite; this includes proper disposal of garbage and  debris, and organization of equipment and job supplies  
  8. Before leaving the job site for the day, participate in a walkthrough of the job site with the Job Foreman to verify quality assurance.
  9. Perform other responsibilities as may, from time to time, be assigned by the Foreman or Director of Operations
  10. Upon returning to the shop at the end of the day, ensure that all company vehicles have been emptied of garbage and debris
  11.  Adhere to all VFI policies and procedures such as smoking, cell phone use, etc.
